Meet Our Staff

Hello! My name is Debra Maurer, and I am the owner of Little Stars Daycare and Preschool. I am a mother of 7 and have 27 grandchildren. I opened Little Stars back in 2013 and have over 30 years of experience in childcare. If you haven't been in the daycare in the past 2 years, then you have not seen the daycare that I am proud to have today! Our center has worked tremendously hard to improve both the inside and outside appearance of the building. My staff is required to complete at least 20 hours of training every year, and I am proud to say that most do way more to ensure we are up-to-date on all the latest techniques and policies. Ensuring your child's' success is what we are about. 

Hello, my name is Tasha. I am the assistant director and billing manager here at Little Stars. I started working here in 2014 as a teacher in the infant room and was quickly promoted to my current position. My love for children has helped give me a love for the job that I do. I have three children of my own and feel that the trainings that I take help give me a better perspective as a parent as well as a daycare provider.

Hello! My name is Misty. I am the Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten teacher here at Little Stars. I was born and raised here in Idaho Falls and have worked in the Child Care Setting for 12 years now. I have worked with children ranging in ages from newborn to14 years old. Out of those 12 years, I have been teaching Preschool/Prekindergarten for 8 years. In my classroom, we focus on learning through play and I teach Literacy & Math using the Zoophonics curriculum. My goal is to help my students be as ready for Kindergarten as possible and also for them to excel socially. We accomplish this by having as much fun as possible!

My name is Carolynn Good. I am 18 years old and have been working with children for 5 years. I started volunteering at Little Stars when I was 13 years old. When I turned 16, I received my Child Care License and started working as an Assistant Teacher. This summer I will be coming into the After School class as a full time teacher. I have a lot of fun & exciting things planned for this summer and can't wait to share my ideas with the kids. The After School group is full of awesome kids and  I am excited to start my teaching career with this years' Summer Camp!
